Welcome to the WINGS Project

Every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow up in. Unfortunately, in Mexico, over 700 orphanages are home to countless children who face immense challenges. The orphanages become their sanctuary, providing education, physical care, and a semblance of stability.

However, this safety net disappears as soon as these children turn 18. Aging out of the system thrusts them into an overwhelming adult world for which they are often unprepared. Lacking life skills, resources, and support, many of these young adults face dire futures. The trauma they carry, coupled with an absence of opportunities, makes higher education seem unattainable. With no funds, no home to return to, and no guidance, they become vulnerable to exploitation—often falling prey to drug use, unplanned pregnancies, sexual trafficking, and cycles of extreme poverty. Tragically, a significant number become easy targets for recruitment by Mexican cartels.

The Crisis and the Call for Change

This heartbreaking reality demands action. The WINGS Project was born to break this cycle of despair and offer hope to these young adults. Our mission is to provide safe housing, spiritual, emotional and physical support, resources, and opportunities to education help them spread their wings and soar into a brighter future.

Our Vision

The WINGS Project envisions a future where young adults leaving an orphanage have safe housing, life coaching, and mentors to give them the tools, skills, and support they need to thrive. Together, we can:
